I am looking for a full-time job.

Being independent in open source for 3.5+ years has been wonderful. I've gotten done most of the high-level goals I wanted to, and miss having people & structure around me.

If you know of a role for a staff-level TypeScript+web developer, let me know! 🙂

This is freaking insane. The level of polish necessary for this visual fidelity and it all runs flawlessly on mobile. Hats off.

Who's having conversations about how we can mitigate and reduce the ways in which "AI" is undermining labor markets?

These are the conversations I want to hear and be a part of.

I would love it if all operating systems (mobile or otherwise) supported toggling system authentication (biometric/password) when opening an app on a per app basis.

No need for most app developers to even implement anything, and this would be a huge security boost for everyone.

If you want a weird but true fact to talk about:

Dexter Holland, lead singer of The Offspring, was instrumental in this. His doctorial thesis in molecular biology was sequencing mRNA in HIV. The paper was also heavily cited in creating the COVID-19 vaccine.
It feels like we should be making a bigger deal of “we actually did in fact find a cure for AIDS”

Node.js has had support for running TypeScript directly since v22.6.0. I’ve been wondering what a minimal Node.js with TypeScript starter project might look like.

Here’s my first shot at what I think might work for me. And it's my first blog post in over 2 years!
