For the first time in more than 100 years, Chinook salmon have been spotted at the confluence of the Sprague and Williamson rivers in Chiloquin, the government seat of the Klamath Tribes in Southern Oregon.

Salmon clear last Klamath dams, reaching Williamson and Sprague rivers
Just a year after four dams were removed, a group of fall Chinook have migrated nearly 300 miles into the Upper Klamath Basin.

I think this is important; AI tools may make cheating and cutting corners easier for students, but the forces that drive and enable this behavior are not new. bsky.app/profile/gwil...
In conclusion, I think misuse of ChatGPT is as much a symptom of a society in decline as it is a cause. If kids felt an education would actually benefit them in material ways, they wouldn't cheat. This is a sign that the kids have read the room and, by and large, already given up.

Spoiler alert: They won't. They know how dirty coal is which is why they force the people who live in sacrifice zones to deal with these negative aspects of it while their communities enjoy the benefits of the energy gained at the expense of environmental justice communities.

I invite anyone who believes coal is clean to volunteer to live near a coal plant, coal ash ponds or trains that move literal mountains of coal. I ask them to enjoy the increased risk of cancer, asthma, lung disease, heart disease, and premature death that all result from exposure to coal pollution.
No. 2 Republican Senator holds up lump of black "clean" coal on Senate floor. Calls for burning more of it "far into the future."

Don’t let the obvious missed pen distract you from the fact that the Timbers completely lost control of that game after they scored. Got way too conservative and passive from like 50’ on. #RCTID

A truly remarkable goal from Musiala. Steals the ball in his own half and proceeds to dribble through the entire Frankfurt defence and scores.

USDOT is proposing to prioritize areas with high marriage & birth rates for funding.

Our new analysis @urbaninstitute.bsky.social shows this approach would produce a massive redistribution of transportation funding to rich, car-dependent, high white population areas.
