Today’s @australia.theguardian.com news email leader headline was USA news again. I would like to know why? We aren’t living in America, thank goodness, so why do we get their news before ours?

This is the emailed news of the Australian edition of The Guardian. Why are they continually making American news first? I am so sick of hearing about USA and Trump.

This is the stuff which will resonate with voters, much as the rail crossing removals did ... ie. actually doing things. Mainstream media is now so far off the pace with identifying and informing people about this stuff it feels increasingly like the rest of us live in a parallel universe. Bizarre.
Important to remember that while the Murdoch and Ninefax outlets are under the covers 'fluffing up' the Libs, in the next few weeks the Vic Govt will deliver

- a whole new 5 stations & tunnel.
- a new river crossing/tunnel to the west.

And a month or two later
- a new, bigger Footscray hospital

Can somebody please do an article on all the reasons why Andrew Hastie should not be leader. Please give me your opinion as to why you think he would not be right?

Andrew Hastie interrupted the Coalition's climate policy meeting to put on the record his praise for fossil fuel and to thank the leadership for the coal aspect of the new policy. “He didn't need to say it," one source said. "It was very bizarre.” satpa.pe/LYlJAOc
Exclusive: ‘They have an unlimited appetite for stupidity’
Sussan Ley has reasserted her position as Liberal leader, although moderates in the party are worried she may cave in to extreme rhetoric on immigration.

Sometimes feels like we’re living in America.
Our news & social media is full of Trump & US news. Today’s news about storms up here writes about ‘baseball’ size hail. Haven’t a clue how big a baseball is. Bigger than a golfball?Maybe closer to a tennis ball or cricket ball. Who knows 🤷‍♀️

Unsolicited artist advice of the day: if you're a freelancer with no back up devices or storage, remember to pick a few things up in the black Friday sales. Even a pen drive to back up your projects so if you have a catastrophic hard drive failure you wont lose everything..learn from my mistakes. 😅

Standoff yesterday between kids resisting and guards in an Australian juvie. Note how the kids are called "inmates". Some are 10 yrs old.

In Australia, 2/3 of kids in juvie are first nations which only comprise 6% of the overall population.

Tasmanians will be paying a lot more than the stated $375M. Rockliff's "not a red cent more" promise is a fairy tale. We will likely never know the real cost. It doesn't have to be monetary. The promised private investors never materialised. They lied about that. It's a complete mess. #politas
As stadium vote nears, how much will Tasmanians actually be paying?
There are many questions still to be answered when it comes to how the stadium will be paid for.
