Lemme spell it out. Trump's only leverage over Jimmy Kimmel and ABC came from FCC regulation. His direct power over H1-B visas gives him similar leverage over tech, higher ed, and others.
Critical part of the President's new $100,000 charge for H1-B visas: The Administration can also offer a $100,000 discount to any person, company, or industry that it wants. Replacing rules with arbitrary discretion.

Want visas? You know who to call and who to flatter.

Amongst the many, many other faults and follies of the party, perhaps the single most dangerous problem with the Democratic Party today is their incessant habit of reinforcing the idea that there is absolutely *no* principle that matters, no policy that is sacrosanct that they will stand behind.
The idea of running anti-abortion Democrats is sickening to me. That means killing women! That is what that means!

It’s #MEAwareness Day! MECFS has one of the lowest QOL of any disease and yet most providers incorrectly believe it’s psychological and refuse to use current best tx practices. For my healthcare friends, the Bateman Horne Center just released a very comprehensive clinical care guide.

I understand the inclination reporters interviewing Trump have to try and get him to make even one logical and coherent statement that aligns with his previous statements but it would be really refreshing for someone to just point out that nothing he says is making sense or is rooted in reality

Covid is a worker’s rights issue. Workplaces need to implement clean air standards, paid time off and provide free respirators.

We’re in a mass disabling event, and the powers that be are doing nothing about it.
