seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous

@kaine.senate.gov Understand that this is what you’re voting for! People will remember.
I thought my new health insurance premium was going to be $350 per month until I got this letter informing me that it would be $1,228.28 PER MONTH. I CURRENTLY PAY $50. Is my math mathing? Is that.... a 2,356.42% increase?

My family has been without half our income for 40 days. It has been.. very hard.

We are willing to feel that pain so people can have health care next year, or to undo these illegal recissions.

We are not willing to have been put through this for NOTHING.

@markwarner.bsky.social @kaine.senate.gov Please don’t fold on ACA and render your constituents’ suffering pointless. Dem voters are fed up; we showed that last week. If the Republican shutdown ends in a defeat for Democrats, people will be lining up to primary every last person who voted for this.

This is garbage. I called and left a message for Mark Warner. Tim Kaine’s office doesn’t take voicemails outside of business hours, which is also garbage.
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

This makes me way less likely to shop there
"Store employees are now required to smile if they are within 10 feet of a shopper.

They also must make eye contact with and wave to or greet the customer.

If they’re within four feet, the employee should ask how the customer’s day is going or if they need help."

🙄 Won't stop the boycott, y'all.
Target is now requiring its employees to smile more
As the holiday season fast approaches, Target is urging its employees to add a little more “jolly” to their work routine.

ICYMI: Microsoft’s charge “implies a more than $12 billion quarterly loss at OpenAI, said Firoz Valliji, an analyst at Bernstein.”

That “would mark one of the largest single-quarter losses for a tech company in history.”

If he is saying billion, with a B, that's about 400 pounds per person, which seems like an unhealthy amount of weight to lose. bsky.app/profile/acyn...
Oz: We thought it was 125 million pounds. Our estimate is Americans will lose 135 billion pounds by the midterms
