So this confirms that the federal government faked a grand jury indictment against a political opponent in order to create the conditions for a fascist show trial.

Americans have no understanding of how far into the machinery of fascist governance we are.
NEWS: During a hearing in federal court in VA, prosecutors confirmed that the operative indictment in the case against James Comey was never shown to or voted on by the entire grand jury before it was presented in open court.

Defense counsel argued that’s a complete bar to further prosecution

When you assemble a squad of thugs and tell them they're above the law, don't be shocked if they start behaving as if they're above the law.
An ICE employee was among 16 men arrested after trying to solicit a minor for sex in Bloomington, Minnesota, police say

"When he was arrested, he said, 'I'm ICE, boys,'" Bloomington Police Chief Booker Hodges said during a press conference. "Well, unfortunately for him, we locked him up."

Not really an overstatement to say that the test of a free society is whether or not comedians can make fun of the country's leader on TV without repurcussions.

When a right-wing man murdered Democratic lawmakers in Minnesota, progressives asked MAGA to tone down the rhetoric to prevent more violence. Within hours of Kirk’s murder, motive still unknown, the right is demanding that the government wage a campaign of violence against their enemies.

The MSNBC commentator saying that most political violence has historically come from the left just once again showed how we suffer from failing to learn history. Lynching, pogroms, race riots, the political violence that ended Reconstruction, and against the Civil Rights Movement. Come on.

Imagine 20 years ago telling someone a notoriously shady buffoon would somehow con his way into the White House, get charged with a bunch of crimes and face possible jail time, the only way out to get elected again, and he does it.

Does anyone need a reminder that Alex Acosta, who gave Jeffrey Epstein the notorious "sweetheart deal" the first time his crimes were exposed became Trump's first labor secretary (until he was forced to resign when Julie K. Brown of the Miami Herald exposed the whole thing in 2018).
Former Labor secretary will be interviewed in House Epstein probe

There's an off-the-record clause for convicted sex offenders?
A couple of interesting things about the Ghislaine Maxwell/Todd Blanche audio recording: it's not one continuous recording. It's broken up into 7 parts on day one, and 4 parts on day two. Further, Todd Blanche says he spoke to Maxwell off the record for several minutes before the recording. 1/
