Every single news story about Trump hosting MBS at the WH today should include the tremendously lucrative business deals the Saudis have done this year with Trump Org to enrich Trump and his family personally, which is the primary reason why this is happening.

Trump: I’m very proud of the job he’s done. What he’s done is incredible in terms of human rights.

"things happen"; sometimes people are just randomly dismembered with bone saws. especially journalists who ask me mean questions.
Trump suggests Khashoggi had it coming: "You're mentioning someone that was extremely controversial. A lot of people didn't like that gentleman that you're talking about. Whether you like him or didn't like him, things happen. But he knew nothing about it. You don't have to embarrass our guest."

I would love to read an insider account of the @nytimes.com copy desk, @emilynussbaum.bsky.social. Perhaps from a reporter fed up with suspect edits and misleading headlines? There’s got to be a story behind that fiefdom and the people running it.
That "clubby" NYT headline is awful, but the piece itself is clear-eyed & observant, if cool in tone — it's by a strong writer & it documents the creepy, backpatting insider world of guys griping about MeToo as it happens. The NYT is always doing this! If the hed was different, the piece wd be legit

This is real. A government agency calling Americans performing their democratic right of protest “imbecilic morons.” This Trump regime is a poison and never should have gotten power. A total disgrace.

100% right. Please listen, @nytimes.com, @washingtonpost.com, @cnn.com and other major media outlets. It's not too late to shift course and do your jobs.
(🧵) This thread from a retired journalism professor who helped usher in the era of metajournalism in the 2010s—and has written a book on the relationship between Trump and Epstein as part of his NYT-bestselling Proof Series—explains how to report properly on the Trump-Epstein Scandal.

Here we go.

As @rbreich.bsky.social notes billionaires and their families own X, Paramount, CBS, Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, the Washington Post, Amazon, MGM, Fox News, the Wall Street Journal and New York Post, and could soon own Warner Bros and CNN

And they are all Trump supporters

"Liberal media" indeed

More continued awfulness, @nytimes.com. Just indefensible framing.
'Matt Gaetz Raped A Homeless Teenager' is what you mean.

A teenager with a homeless parent? What? The fuck? Did she have a home and not allow her parent to live in it? Ended up having sex with? What? Yeah clearly you guys been caping for pedos long enough and you understand the assignment here
A teenager in Florida with a homeless parent wanted money for braces and ended up having sex for money with powerful men, setting off a chain of events that would have a dramatic impact on her life and help upend the political career of Representative Matt Gaetz. nyti.ms/49PSkL9

Biden should’ve done this. Long overdue
I am cashing every chip I earn in with the next administration to insure we get a brutal Democratic Attorney General that makes this type of prosecutorial abuse seem like child's play. It's all I want. They don't have to pay me for loyalty. They just have to do this.

Stuff like this makes me wonder why there hasn't been any reporting about Trump having affairs during his presidencies

Another thing this email trove has convinced me of is that NYT has been actively and consciously helping Trump since 2015. It wasn't just casual sexism, double standards, and political reporting Kayfabe. They were doing catch and kill

Speaker Mike Johnson to Max Cohen about the emails:

“Another publicity stunt by the Democrats. They're trying to mislead people. I'll refer you to the Oversight Committee's response by the Republicans.”
The email that’s most newsworthy in my mind is the one that Epstein sent to Ghislaine Maxwell in 2011.

1. This was years before Trump ran for office.

2. It appears that Ghislaine Maxwell lied to DOJ officials during her meeting with them a couple months ago.

For-profit medical insurance companies should be OUTLAWED. It’s a predatory business model that is quite literally killing us.
These are the five biggest US Industries in terms of total revenue in 2025.

(It’s cute that they’re listed in thousands of billions instead of trillions to throw us off the scent.)

What do you notice?

And giving in now will embolden him. Things will likely get worse.

I’m disgusted by the @60minutes.bsky.social interview of Trump. @cbsnews.com is dead to me.
For the love of God, can just one interviewer push back on this insanity?

There are people seeking political asylum in America. They were not taken out of mental asylums in other countries and brought here.

It's a big mistake with big ramifications, but no one wants to correct Our Special Boy.
O'DONNELL: Are we going to war against Venezuela?

TRUMP: I doubt it. They emptied their mental institutions and insane asylums into the United States of America
