For any unfamiliar with the quality of journalism at Teen Vogue, it's well known for hard-hitting stories on "politically sensitive" topics including climate.

Then there's CBS: the only major network to increase climate coverage in the last few years. They just axed nearly their whole climate team.
I was laid off from Teen Vogue today along with multiple other staffers, and today is my last day.

certainly more to come from me when the dust has settled more, but to my knowledge, after today, there will be no politics staffers at Teen Vogue.

Poll: Americans say “too divided”
Pundit: Dems are being too divisive

Poll: Legal system unfair
Pundit: The public thinks Trump should get away with crimes

Poll: Low trust in media
Pundits: MSM is too far left

Every time they see a nonspecific term and assume everyone thinks like a Republican.
I will never understand the pundit obsession with getting Democrats to solve "political division."

Not only is this what they're already doing, but Klein admits that Republicans will never do the same. So elections will remain constant GOP smears and simping Democratic promises of bipartisanship.

Did you hear about this new study recommending that the Democrats move right on most issues?

Well, I just took a moment to dig into their data — and, lo!, it is nonsense.

They're testing not voters' opinions about policies, but the parties' MESSAGING about policies — which is very different!

Gotten a lot of comments/quotes like "they don't care, they *like* conflict!" or "they're psychos, they don't care!" The thing is: pretty sure virtually NOBODY, even the worst people in the world, can handle constant verbal conflict where they're the target. That's the point.
A lot of folks may think that just yelling at ICE agents is ineffective, but consider the cumulative psychological toll of being yelled at EVERY DAY when trying to do shit. Even the biggest asshole in the world who doesn't give a shit about other people will feel the pressure.

My latest — I wrote about Cuomo’s vile racist speed run in the final days of the mayoral campaign, with gross comments on a right wing radio show, an AI video best suited for 4chan, and his weaponization of white and Jewish grievance to beat the would-be first Muslim Mayor of NYC:
Cuomo goes full gutter racist down the stretch
A deranged AI video and radio comments aimed at Mamdani show his truest colors yet.

If cops lie to CCRB investigators, they get charged for it. But the board makes many of those allegations disappear—overruling investigators' discipline recommendations at twice the rate they do for other misconduct.

The agency tasked with holding the NYPD accountable is letting cops accused of lying to its own investigators off the hook.

My gosh. After the US bombed multiple boats in the middle of the ocean, murdering people on grounds that they were allegedly "carrying drugs," the US Attorney General says "Just like we did with cartels, we're going to take the same approach, President Trump, with Antifa."

I have too many news articles open right now that directly pertain to my interests, but with headlines that make me too anxious to actually read the article. So I just cycle through the tabs and get a jump scare when I read each headline and then move quickly to the next tab.

This is a joke, right? A parody account?

We have an authoritarian prosecuting his political enemies, destroying the rule of law, subverting Congress, wrecking the economy, and, inter alia, deploying troops and masked secret police to majority-opposition party cities.

FOCUS ON HEALTHCARE?????
The Trump administration’s threat to deploy troops in Portland is unlawful.

Here’s a thought.

Focus on protecting the healthcare of the American people.

The reason why I have not agreed to “debate” anti-science animal welfare extremists about shark conservation is that a debate implies that there are two equivalently valid sides that just need to be discussed with one another.

When that’s not the case, a debate elevates the fringe side.

Among the attempts to create hagiographic eulogies of Charlie Kirk, I’ve seen more than a few people suggest that Kirk should be respected for being willing to talk to “those who disagree with him” as a sign that he was engaging in good faith. Perhaps the perfect example of this is Ezra Klein’s silly eulogy claiming that Kirk was “

Bowser is not the champion DC needs in this moment, and The Washington Post has become a Trump rag.

A newspaper that actually cared about the city in its name would not publish such an inflammatory, bullshit headline.
