@davidbrace2.bsky.social we still aren’t in a position to hang up the art, but we did take it out of storage to look at, admired it & now covered it back up to protect it until next time 😊 we absolutely love the work! Thank you 😊 we will keep an eye out for the other backyard apocalypse series ☺️

Every town in America gets a Cybertruckhenge.
Cybertrucks are piling up -- apparently no one wants to buy them -- but they can't stop making them, b/c shutting the factory down is too expensive. Great work all around.
Tesla Cybertruck inventory goes through the roof
Tesla Cybertruck is experiencing a significant increase in unsold inventory in the US and facing huge challenges in meeting initial sales expectations.

There was a rather charming trend in the 1910s to introduce the actor at the beginning of the film by showing them first in their street or evening clothes and then dissolving into the costume of their characters. Here we see recent stage import William S. Hart become a bandit in THE BARGAIN (1914).

I’m really only just getting into it but I genuinely love birding as a hobby. The entire goal is to look at the bird. Is there a bird? There is a bird! Look at the bird! If you are very keen you can learn what to call the bird so that you can properly thank it for the joy you feel when you see it. 🪶

My mum moved house this year, and things have surfaced from the archives.

Apparently I wrote to my favourite author, Penelope Lively (The Ghost of Thomas Kempe), when I was 10, and she was kind enough to write back

PART 2 of my Antarctica video is now officially live! It’s fully of cute penguins, seals, whales, and the most beautiful landscapes you’ve ever seen. Plus me. My face is in it a little also. Not as cool as penguins tbh. Anyhow please go check it out!

On the left, my image. On the right, the Al image that was clearly trained on, and designed to plagiarize, my image.

All Al generated imagery is inherently theft. It's unethical, environmentally disastrous, and does irreparable harm to both artists and society.

Check out my new artwork! After stumbling on @davidbrace2.bsky.social on Bluesky and seeing his insect art I snapped up two of his pieces and commissioned this beauty. All you insect nerds out there consider checking out his work.

Teaching about AI in a high school in Ontario. Kids are very against it for media creative reasons. But, will not bat an eyelid when using it to complete their maths work or to write an English essay. Looking forward to their views on the use of AI for the holiday advert by a major cola company 🤔

🧵An open question: Describe a memorable moment when you had a knock-out reaction to an art work? Like that whole body & mind swoon, a personal game changer.
Mine was in 1988. I was in Manhattan on an art school trip, gallery hopping. I was in The Whitney, exhausted after a day of visiting galleries.

A 🧵on a scammer-
I'm sure most artists have been on the pointy end of one of these scams, but for those who haven't I'll lay out what it looked like for me over the last couple of days. (in short: if the interaction doesn't feel right it probably isn't. They are faking it, you're not.)
