Here's a gift link to the New York Times' coverage of the initial Tea Party rallies in April 2009 which inspired the media to treat it like a massive movement.

Check out how tiny the crowds were:

Philly: 200
DC: "several hundred"
Boston: 500
Austin: 1,000
Houston: 2,000

I beg of journalists: What Trump filed vs the NYT today is not a "$15 billion lawsuit."

This is a lawsuit in which the plaintiff has come up with a number -- $15 billion -- that he is seeking as damages. He will never win that amount.

And yes, I am going to die on this hill.

Obviously, there's bigger news happening right now, but Senate Republicans just voted against releasing the Epstein files. Every Democrat voted to release them. Susan Collins was the deciding vote to protect Trump and others named in the files.

When you get power you have a limited window to do stuff and to persuade people to trust you with power. Offering a pale imitation of your opponents does neither.

The shocking thing about Trump tossing off a “shylock” slur is he pushes antisemitic conspiracy theories, said he needs accountants with “funny little hats,” does dual loyalty smears, openly speaks of Good Jews and Bad Jews, hired neo-Nazis, and more, and media still says he’s opposing antisemitism.
Peace demonstrators have been beaten, foreign students have been disappeared, and educational institutions have been broken and tarred for being "antisemitic" through a series of tortured jingoistic inferences, while Donald Trump constantly and explicitly tells us what he thinks of Jews
"No death tax, no estate tax, no going to the banks and borrowing from, in some cases, a fine banker. And in some cases, shylocks and bad people."

Three things made the US a rich and powerful nation: the rule of law, its science & innovation system, and openness to foreign talent. Remarkable how Trump has taken a sledgehammer to all three. No enemy of this country could do more.

It’s a remake of AIR FORCE ONE but in this version the president is leading the terrorists
Can anyone explain to me how "Trump donating the brand new Air Force One to his own presidential library right before leaving office, so he can continue to use it" is any different from THE PRESIDENT STEALING AIR FORCE ONE

These charges are so stupid. There was an ICE agent **in the elevator** with the defendant after he left the courtroom. But oh yeah, the state judge somehow obstructed ICE because she let the defendant leave the courtroom through a side entrance.

The Trump DOJ is run by morons and thugs.
Seeing claims about the judge "hiding" the defendant. Read the complaint, folks (written by DOJ). The guy was literally in the public area where the agents were. I guess he got on an elevator before they could get to him. The complaint says after letting the defendant exit she came back to the bench

We don’t have to let Trump wreck our economy with tariffs—that’s a choice.

The Constitution gives trade authority to Congress, not the President.

Congress delegated tariff powers to the President and we can take them back.

We have the bills (one is mine). We just need enough support to pass them.

Musk claims Social Security is a "gigantic magnet to attract illegal immigrants."

In fact, immigrants here illegally do not collect Social Security. But they pay $25.7 billion a year into it, a recent study found, so these undocumented workers are actually subsidizing Americans.
