People have tried to say that the Green surge is just on social media.

Or in a bubble that's just about polls and just about new members.

Yet up and down the country - Greens are also winning elections.

Huge congratulations to the Canterbury Greens! 💚🎉

Not so much a Hokey Cokey, more Reeves and the markets locked in a lethal tango, led spellbound by an OBR accordion:

When No 10 gets into a bunker it’s hard to get out. If you dig in (Thatcher) and refuse to make changes of policy and staff amidst dire polls, your colleagues turn against you. Major came out fighting and called and won a leadership contest in 1995 but lost the 1997 election.

Even in the face of brutal, eye-catching, clickbait competition elsewhere in the news, it’s scandalous this story will, these days, never make the headlines.

”Leading cardiologists at both hospitals were paid consultants for the device’s manufacturer…”

Hospitals knew a heart device led to more patients' deaths - but they kept using it
Almost half of patients given a heart pump, after the NHS had raised concerns about it, died soon after.

I rather fancy Trump launching a lawsuit against the BBC - if only to see what argument he uses to explain himself:

If you’ve got long, very long, idle minutes to spare, the full speech is worth a second look.
Trump accuses the BBC of butchery and fraud in their representation of it. If your ask me, they rather sanitised it:

Excellent stuff from Rory Stewart. One thing’s evident: Michael Gove has clearly spent not a single hour contemplating this extraordinary account (from a Jewish Israeli filmmaker) of what happened in Palestine:

Not all conspiracy theories are equal.
Some conspiracies are real - and especially dangerous.

When it comes to media enemies - bad actors can either buy or bankrupt them.
Both are dead ends for the truth.
Trump is interfering in the BBC at the highest level and ITV is being sold off to USA, this is co-ordinated and a new cold war.

Anyone reading the full transcript of Trump’s January 6th speech will be left in no doubt about his intentions - the Panorama edit (clumsy though it was) gave an accurate picture of what he wanted from his audience:
Early on, they were already chanting “Fight for Trump”.

Here’s a (cheap) BBC marketing campaign/fightback begging to be launched:
We’re one of the US-based BBC users. No paywall, well-researched articles, and more/better international news. The BBC app is great, people
Nowhere in the hysterical pile-on against the BBC in the British press has anyone mentioned that BBC News now has 77 million viewers & listeners in the US and has established itself as the second most trusted news source there.

The Panorama edit did at least remind us which of Trump’s words were still ringing in the ears of the crowd when they marched on the Capitol: the words they heard last. Not “walking” but “fight like hell”.
The reaction to the Panorama edit has been nothing short of hysterical. Yes the BBC has some impartiality problems. But its biggest isn't the one you think.

New piece from me.
