Hello Peacock, what are you doing in my living room? Shouldn't you be tucked up somewhere safely sleeping?

Walking the coast path. Tilbury to Stanford-Le-Hope. 12 and a bit miles.

These soft days, on the edge of winter, can be so beautiful. Long shadows, golden light, crisp chill air. I knew we had to head to the coast.

Tilbury Fort was closed, but we could walk around the outside. /1

How's the weather in the UK 🇬🇧...

Ah, you know...we had a month's worth of rain in one day last week, the river flooded...oh then it was -3⁰C last night and the flood waters froze.

Bit parky out this morning in #Worcester #ukweather

It was a beautiful morning for a run, but might need to rethink using the towpath for speedwork when its icy. Supposed to be speed running not speedskating.

I enjoy looking at the @metoffice.gov.uk WOW during more extreme temperatures to look for hot and cold spots.
However, one of these things is not like the others...

A low of -3.6c at my PWS here in NE Hampshire.

Think I'll postpone today's run until we reach >0c. 🥶

I miss Japan where the trains are clean and reliable and people queue in an orderly manner for them.

Trains delayed through Guildford.

Let communities own rivers, woods & moors!

Excellent to see @simonforstroud.bsky.social has tabled amendments 107 & 108 to the Devolution Bill to strengthen Community Right to Buy laws in this way.

We need more Labour MPs to support this - email yours:

The first #uksnow observation of the season at a Met Office manual station was during yesterday's 09 UTC observation at Faskally with half a centimetre of snow on the ground.

@mathforge.org has done what I’ve never been organised enough to do myself, and catalogued every #geometrypuzzle I’ve ever posted on social media. It looks amazing!

I have been raising the implications of lack of funding for the Canal and River Trust since becoming an MP, and more recently the issues facing our local canals due to a lack of infrastructure investment.

Made a couple of tweaks to the way #uksnow reports are pulled in this evening. Images are now being imported correctly again, and there's a duplicate detection system that hopefully means anyone cross-posting over different platforms will only have their first post pulled in.

The offer of a lift and a free day. Walkies!
I had an idea to connect Avebury to Salisbury. Its about 66km. So this is Part 1.

Avebury with its multitude of standing stones was uncharacteristically busy for a cold November sunday morning.
