I've never seen a population more united. If people can hold onto that unity, if people can accept that different people will have different ways of confronting fascism, if we can remind NGOs and orgs that they can join but not control the resistance, then, well, people here will write history.

I never studied political science and I've only been finding the vernacular for my political beliefs over the past year. I come by my loathing of the Western capitalist class honestly, ie: poverty and a stigmatized Middle Eastern dad who immigrated for the American dream and went fucking crazy

I think liberal types are lashing out because that's what happens when someone is confronted by a truth that goes against their known reality. Capitalism has consumed everywhere else and now it's consuming the West. It won't stop, and the neoliberal paradigm can't protect the status quo anymore

My Dad hid the weapons he and his buddies stole from the Nazi's under the floor of the church my grandfather was the Lutheran minister for. Dad didn't want his Dad to know he was in the Resistance. Turns out Granddad was too, they just didn't tell each other. That's how you keep your mouth shut.
