the barks are so bad for the dad of war and horizon: robot racism games that i get unreasonably angry any time i try to play them because you're not allowed a moment's peace.
Games need to shut the fuck up and let me look at their environments & puzzles without telling me what to do every 5 seconds

If you're making a game for the players who absolutely need extremely high-frequency nagging barks from an NPC, you're kind of making a game for no one *but* those players

Like, yes, players don't read and/or fail to pay attention, and then they get mad about the things they didn't understand. That happens a lot. Unfortunately long experience tells us that increasing the volume of information you throw at the player does not make them absorb more of it.
