The Office brand is arguably Microsoft's most important - possibly more than Windows itself. To rename it after this slop generator is staggeringly foolish. Honestly, it's pushed me to spending more and more time in Linux and MacOS lately to escape this Copilot push.
Microsoft is so fucking stupid.

Microsoft renamed Microsoft Office to Microsoft 365 Copilot App

I'm not joking

Just how much did you want to let Epic Games collect a giant profile of your actions, attached to your Government ID?

CnaM and Ofcom have delivered this with their Age Verification scheme.

Must-read as it unmasks KWS, the age verification service this site uses: gets lots of sensitive data, is joint controller for it, can use it for their own "improvement" purposes, and treat it like an asset they can sell.

New Gist: Age Verification is an Epic fail

On Bluesky's introduction of age verification, selling us to the Fortnite guys, and how the arrogance of Ireland's regulator has seen it deliver the very outcomes it once called "bonkers".

The Gist: Age Verification is an Epic fail
From the 21st July 2025, Ireland’s regulator will be enforcing age checks at the door for social media sites in the EU. This is the Gist.

@skunkapegames.com There's something up with your handle. I can only see your profile by using a converter to get the full bsky.app/profile/did:... link, bsky.app/profile/skun... gives the attached error. Might want to check that out.

Sorry for the political post, but If you're in the US, I encourage you to call your senators and demand they push for articles of impeachment against RFK Jr as secretary of HHS. I know there are a lot of issues to worry about currently, but this one is very important to me.

OpenAI will have immunity from all lawsuits regarding copyright infringement. All other AI companies will follow.

Expect to see a lot more of this 👇 in the coming months & years.

If Europe is at least pretending to have a serious conversation about life without a US security guarantee, then the same conversation has to be had about tech dependence on the US.

Whether anything will happen is another matter.
It is very hard to accept, but it is no longer safe to move EU governments & societies to US clouds. Not only is it dangerous to do so, it is also likely flat out illegal in the near feature. We're trading convenience for utter dependence on a mad king. It should stop.
