You’ve been kidnapped. The characters from the last TV show you watched are trying to rescue you. Who’s coming to save you?

Confident of my chances here.

Excellent read this.
Ultimately the minimum wage is a brilliant tool, but it can’t compensate for “we haven’t built any housing”, “we have cut cash transfers to the bone” and “all the third spaces have been cut to pay for social care”.
The minimum wage is not a cure all — we’re asking too much of business
Politicians spend too much time uttering cheap rhetoric about cheap labour

Some of the animation in AoT though - conveying the sense of speed during certain sequences. Breath taking stuff at times.
Re-watching Attack on Titan, and it still blows my tiny little mind that one of the series biggest twists is treated like an almost throw-away line in season 2 of the anime (and it felt like the manga treated it in an equally glib manner).

No spoilers, just wanted to shout into the void.

Harvey Barnes misses a sitter then scores twice.

Sounds like jug avoidance to me.

There are more news channels than music channels now - but less creativity on the one hand, and more bullshit talking points on the other seems about right.

What a game. So many memories attached to Ocarina of Time.
'The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time' was released 27 years ago today 🐐

One of the most depressing things I've encountered is having a document I wrote run through ChatGPT.

It's a first draft! I'm not precious about it, just tell me what edits you want and I'll go away and sort. I like doing it; writing is one of the few things I feel confident with.

Or did anyway.
Saw a post today that advised writers to stop writing as if a human will read it and start writing for an LLM that will be summarising.

As someone who really enjoyed trying to develop a peculiar but readable authorial voice, I find this incredibly depressing.

If you want more significant numbers of asylum seekers to work and find their own housing, rather than rely on statutory asylum provision, then you presumably need to…allow them to work? What am I missing

It’s the obsession with it that’s the problem. Not going as far as ‘tearing the country apart’, but while Labour obsesses over the issue, and how to out dickhead Reform, other stuff just seems to be allowed to drift and either remain shit or get worse.
