It’s D-day for Operation Baby Delivery, finally, and now after months of waiting for this day, I get to sit in a hospital bed and wait some more for the induction drugs to take effect and labor to actually commence. But things are finally moving!!!!

The 3rd and 4th grade classes at my school all wrote down their best ideas of activities to do with my new baby, put them in a cute little jar, and surprised me with them today 😭

11 days now until baby day, which seems both incredibly soon for the stuff that needs to get done, and incredibly far away for my body to deal with housing this baby until then.

I am in the home stretch of this pregnancy and I have never had such mixed feelings about my body. On the one hand, I really want the little nugget to stay in there and cook until induction day. On the other hand, everything about how I physically feel is unpleasant right now and I am DONE with it.

folks can complain about the effectiveness of scheduled orderly mass protest but to think about it another way its the closest thing we have to the opening scene of A Muppet Christmas Carol where all the muppets sing "there goes Mr. Dipshit, there goes Mr. Ass" to Scrooge and it clearly bothered him

One of the best parts of the weather turning colder is that the cats want to snuggle with the humans. Gemma never wants to sit in my lap in the summer!

Waiting at the maternal fetal medicine clinic, as one does when one is a 40yo pregnant lady via IVF, and they’re playing “Good Luck, Babe.” I’m not objecting, but a song about bitterness at your bi ex blowing you off for a hetero relationship is a funny choice for the preggo doctor.
