The issues at #Medomsley have been known for many years. This 2012 report is (warning) very distressing and gives a glimpse of the horror.

'A true horror story': The abuse of teenage boys in a detention centre
The prison service and police knew of his interest in young boys. So how did Neville Husband get away with the abuse of teenagers in his care? By Eric Allison and Simon Hattenstone

The #Medomsley history is devastating. Will the personal characteristics of the serial perpetrators make them less subject to public condemnation & will those of the victims less the focus of public concern? The answer - also devastating- is probably yes
These children were served up to perpetrators
We have responded to the Prisons and Probation Ombudsman’s special investigation into abuse that occurred at Medomsley Detention Centre between 1961 and 1987.

The Communications Director @nationaltrust.org.uk is definitely one of the organisation’s treasured assets.
Customer feedback this week;

‘Please can you get some more diversity at the National Trust by encouraging more hot men to visit.’

Ideas for how we do this v welcome. Nothing too racy please - we are the National Trust not the National Tryst.

Restores my faith in personal agency that RT2021 who describe the nature of their business as, “Activities of other membership organisations not elsewhere classified” (Companies House) have again failed to succeed at NT council elections where they were relying on mass voter apathy from members.
National Trust council elections saw a defeat for the Restore Trust campaign.

35k members voted to re-elect a slate of council candidates endorsed by the nominations committee

12k - 13.5k voted for candidates on Restore Trust slate

Appreciative of @nationaltrust.org.uk for their inclusion of a mesmerising film showing the (still surviving) industry upon which the wealth of the household was based. “Haunting” is the perfect description.
