I saw The Princess Bride with my whole family in a packed theater when I was a bit older than the character Fred Savage plays and was concerned that a movie about princesses might not be my cup of tea. I've never been happier to be wrong in my life.
Raising the always fun question: What are your most memorable theater-going experiences?

Mine also include The Matrix, Blair Witch, and being way too stoned in Belgium when Fellowship of the Ring was sold out so we sat in the back row for Mulholland Drive instead.
It was hands-down one of the most memorable theater-going experiences I can remember, a collective 30-minute butt-clench/armrest-grab for the final climb. And we knew he lived! Wild.

This is a great story, especially if you've read the main series.
Pre-orders are live for Engineer's Odyssey, a standalone side story in the Apocalypse Parenting Universe!

As an experiment, I'm testing not putting this one on Kindle Unlimited. This means I can list it with tons of other services! Links to some of these in the response :)

Something Douglass Coupland said in an interview that stuck with me was when he said that the “future” is relatively new. And it is. The afterlife isn’t the future, he argues, it’s eternity. Eternity, once attained, is permanent, timeless, at least in a spiritual sense. Heaven, Nirvana, etc… (1/?)

He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.

Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.

THREAD: In 2023, I received an envelope with no return address. Inside was a flash drive containing tens of 1000s of secret files.

It came from a vigilante with a tumultuous past, who'd conducted a years-long undercover operation. He didn’t tell the FBI or his family. He only told me.

In December 2021, I wove, a tapestry of sad and joyful memories that were in the front of my mind that year. It's one of the rare pieces I've written that I felt hit the notes I wanted to hit, exactly the way I wanted to hit them.

I reposted it with thoughts:
