Being trans disqualified you from being involved or having any say at all in the nyt coverage of trans people. That was true 5 years ago, and it’s true today.

It’s the definition of prejudice.
Ever wonder why the New York Times abandoned balance and impartiality to lead an old-fashioned newspaper crusade against trans equal rights?

In one of our most read stories for the year, @evanurquhart.bsky.social took readers behind the scenes at NYT.

„Quiet, Piggy!“ Just think about that for a minute, and what it means to live in a time when a President can assault a woman in public like that without any consequences.
It‘s quite a testimony to the age of regression we live in.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

Americans have no idea what socialism means

In the civilized parts of the world it means people have the power to choose to not be screwed over by rapey, greedy corporate thugs. That’s it. That’s all it means

Notice Mamdani charmed Trump on live TV without backing down on any stances. He didn't water himself down, he didn't even take back calling Trump a fascist. Moderates would say butter him up, or try to appear more right-wing. Voters can see through that—and evidently so does he!

Incredible. Just insane.

And the USA enabled and sponsored every single death.

One of the most disgusting things to happen in my lifetime.

Socialism is what they called public power.

Socialism is what they called social security.

Socialism is what they called the growth of free and independent labor organizations.

Socialism is their name for almost anything that helps all the people.

Would she be rehabilitated in less than a year? Hired by Vanity Fair? Given a book deal? A NYT puff piece?

It's a big club and we ain't in it.
