Our next bath of 3D printed whistles are in process, and we have requests to supply multiple large trainings over the next 2 weeks.

We’ll also hand out hundreds of whistles (for free!) in heavily immigrant communities this week.

is this same @alsobrooks.senate.gov who was a grand marshall at this year's 50th anniversary Baltimore pride parade for some reason?
I will remember that @alsobrooks.senate.gov voted against the rights of trans people. Do we have a JK Rowling-sycophant representing Maryland, or simply an opportunist who thinks of civil rights of trans people as negotiable. Shame on you, Angie.
1. Last night, 26 Senate Dems helped pass a NDAA containing a military trans sports and surgery ban and dropped demands for protections against US troop deployments in the bill.

It is the latest in the national fight over must-pass bills during the shutdown.

if you're feeling down & undirected, highly rec developing solidarity relations with elders doing community work where you live. in Baltimore it's either decades of dedication or late entry into a vigorous, constructive mode of hyperlocal organizing--amazing folks stewarding liveability in many ways

I want to push back against the sentiment that we live in terrible political times and we must exist as if we don't. Let me hold your hand gently when I say this:

You don't have to keep it moving like the world isn't burning. You can meet the moment *and* do daily life. Let's talk about how. 🧵

Suburbs and rural areas are all about promoting the individual through a misguided fixation on fictional self-sufficiency. In a city, I am part of something bigger. I live in a Place with its own Systems and Culture. That provides an anchoring for personal identity. So many people live Nowhere.

Rough reception for City Hall plan: Relocate DPW's Sisson St. trash dropoff ctr to the Potts & Callahan yard on Falls Rd.
Biking or walking on the Jones Falls Trail? You'd be alongside vehicles hauling garbage. And, attention drivers: Falls Rd wd be closed to cars at Mill #1 tinyurl.com/36rws9mn
Rough reception as city proposes moving Sisson Street trash drop-off center to a site along the Jones Falls | Baltimore Brew
Falls Road would be permanently closed to vehicle traffic near Mill No. 1. Vehicles dropping off and hauling garbage would access the site via lower Falls Road, side by side with bikers and walkers.
