Every year Split Rock Lighthouse is lit up on November 10th in honor of the 29 men who died on the SS Edmond Fitzgerald, and the thousands of others who have lost their lives on the Great Lakes. I was able to make it up and catch it this year, it was worth the drive.

New review up: Sounding Thunder, which is hard to describe. It's an intergenerational collaborative biography of Francis Pegahmagabow (decorated Ojibwe WWI veteran) by his great-grandson, who contextualizes the stories of his great-aunt and uncle in Ojibwe. landbodymind.substack.com/p/review-sou...
