Congress has had years to do something about data brokers and they've sided with the tech lobby over and over again.

He did something similar in February when he fired the Archivist of the US.
It's now 3 months and counting, and he apparently has not notified Congress of his reasons for doing so, as required by law. 🗃️

The president has the power of removal, but is required to notify Congress of his reasons, as @historians.org pointed out last week.

1) ask Bukele to release him.
2) demand that Bukele releases him
3) threaten El Salvador with sanctions if they refuse to release him
4) send in a SEAL team to ex-fil him
