Finally got around to framing this year's embroidery projects.

I learned from my grandma when I was a kid, then picked it up again last year after the election as an alternative to doomscrolling before bed.

Another reminder that a 13-year study found that protected bike-lanes led to a drastic decline in fatalities for all road users.

ALL ROAD USERS.

And painted bike-lanes? No safety improvement at all.

For sharrows, it’s actually safer to NOT have them.

It's literally true. Remember when Biden called in airstrikes on the Western Kansas beef processing plants?

Took my teen practice driving. Then picked mustard greens in the yard before coming in. A few hours later, couldn't find my keys. Spent an hour looking including going back to the parking lot where we switched drivers. Finally found them hanging from the pocket in which I store lids.

The entire American experiment is based primarily on the mindless pursuit of wealth resulting in a culture of artifice where unremarkable people who were born or lucked into extreme privilege are treated like kings by armies of sycophants all rushing to the same trough?
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

"UCPD arrested four students early Monday morning for felony vandalism, according to info from campus admin.

"They were arrested while attempting to hang an approximately five-foot-tall cardboard bug off Sather Gate in protest of TPUSA's upcoming event on campus."

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

look I know being an engaged citizen IS the work of democracy but it is also the work of elected officials not to create situations where everyone has to be mobilized all the time to prevent them from allowing some kind of Dickensian horror on a Sunday night while you're in between loads of laundry
