$22M of dead cap sounds like a lot but then you remember the Bucks are spending $23M on Kuzma which is basically the same thing

That’s rough week of GMing before we even get to “knowingly added Jordan Poole to his roster”
Trades a top-4 protected Pacers pick back to the Pacers who do not have Hali next year for No. 23

And

trades No. 23 and next year’s unprotected first (better of Pels or Bucks) for a center who does not shoot

EITHER of those should trigger the league to saddle you with multiple Colangelos
Joe Dumars being back is the greatest thing that could happen for NBA content. Just ordering up madness on both burner phones

I said that I won’t judge Dumars until tonight.

Giving away multiple bites at a top tier lotto pick, including their own, while taking over a 21-61 team, is frigging inexcusable.

This nails it. This goes beyond player evaluation. This frankly shows complete organizational negligence about where this team currently stands and the obvious downside risk that next season presents.

There is NO PLAYER available at #13 worth making that bet on, no matter how high you are on them.
To be perfectly clear: the draft picks themselves could be home runs. I truly hope that they are! But the process for both of those draft pick trades is so incredibly flawed that it just screams incompetence. The Pacers trade was unnecessarily rushed, and there's no defense for the 2026 pick return.

I'm the guy who is very worried about how few people are going to watch the finals of the league that produces over 11 billion dollars of revenue every season.

I wonder if we didn't spend billions bombing children if we could afford a functioning power grid.

Around the Horn ending is a little emotional for me. I watched the show every single day after school. Getting off the school bus, grabbing a snack, and putting on Around the Horn was a quintessential routine of my childhood.

Erhm we are actually only killing 14,000 children per year ☝️

Thinking about that scene in Succession, where Roman offers the kid $1 million if he can hit a HR in the softball game. Then they tag the kid out at the plate as he’s trying to score. Cruelty is the entire point here, and it’s absolutely disgusting.
Kristi Noem has been working with the producer of “Duck Dynasty” to pitch a reality TV show—titled “The American”—where immigrants will compete in a string of challenges across the country “for the honor of fast-tracking their way to U.S. citizenship,” according to a new report.
Noem Plots Reality Show Where Migrants Fight for Citizenship
A Homeland Security official told the Daily Beast that the show is in the early stages of vetting, though approval has not been given—or denied.

Should we talk about how god damn lucky the Spurs have been lately. They win the 2023 Wemby sweepstakes, they move up 1 spot in 2024 to #4 and also the Raptors move down 2 spots so they got #8 instead of the Raptors keeping it, then in 2025 they jump all the way to #2.

Chicago really gave OKC the last infinity stone for the right to pay Josh Giddey $160M.

Jaxson Hayes had more personal fouls in this series than points and as many fouls as rebounds.

Yet Lakers fans are convinced he would have saved them in this game...
