Lots of delays for flights from NYC to Miami this morning…(beyond normal Dec 26 issues).
Pilot (who has flown for 40yrs) said there is a huge spike in private planes flying from northeast to Florida and that is causing a big backup for commercial travel. Said this is highly unusual.

I used to fly Newark-Seattle-Anchorage, and also Boston-San Diego once a month.
Was I Mister "Well, yes, I would like 2 Heinekens with my pancakes at 6am"? Absolutely.
