I remember Dawning Realization Month for the NFT people too. Think this is going to take much longer because of how wrapped up the whole economy is in this, but it really feels like it's happening.
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

This misses a key point:
The USDA instructed states on Friday to pay SNAP benefits in full. Yes, it later told them to "undo" that, but that second instruction is flatly illegal and there's no way for the USDA to enforce it. Hopefully most SNAP recipients have gotten their full payments already.

I think one thing we lose sight of is that it’s really easy to chant that we gotta touch the stove, and it’s a completely different thing to be the owner of the ongoing decision that 40 million people gotta go hungry. That’s a heavy thing and I’m not at all surprised that some Dems are worried.

SNAP is supposed to be restored today due to a judge's order. This is great news, but we should probably talk about the mental anguish people who rely on SNAP (disabled and so many others) have had to go through all because of greed and the overabundance of wealth. That's gross af.
