This is not how math works, but you know that.
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

What's going on where the western horizon has a glow to it in the morning?

(and if the image quality doesn't make it clear, it isnt due to an incoming band of clouds reflecting the sunrise - 'something else' is reflecting the sunrise)

The Trump EPA has nearly doubled the amount of formaldehyde considered safe to inhale compared with a Biden-era assessment, which had already significantly underestimated the dangers of the chemical, a ProPublica investigation found.

Under Former Chemical Industry Insiders, Trump EPA Nearly Doubles Amount of Formaldehyde Considered Safe to Inhale
Chemical industry lobbyists have long pushed the government to adopt a less stringent approach to gauging the cancer risk from chemicals, one that would help ease regulations on companies that make or...

Imagine, if you will, that NASA updated its website to suggest gravity might not exist, prompting CalTech and CERN to release statements saying, "With great sadness, we can no longer recommend listening to NASA."

This is what's happening in epidemiology.

The conservative members of the Catholic congregation I attended just *loathed* Pope Francis... welp, they must be having conniptions over Pope Leo... and I love it.
He said "Amen" straight into the drop

Lmao Pope Leo threw a rave for an archbishop's 75th birthday this is kind of incredible

Great that top Canadian universities are hiring top scholars (why wouldn't they?) but the Ontario Progressive Conservative government has starved the post-secondary sector and the province has the lowest per-student funding of any Canadian province. www.theglobeandmail.com/canada/educa...

I imagine many people are pleased the first snowfall of the year in the GTA #HamOnt occurred on the weekend because when it occurs on a workday the commute home is a nightmare as we go through the annual ritual of fools having forgotten how to drive in winter road conditions.

I have an annual MRI following a stroke 5 years ago. Prior to that I had 2 MRIs over 15 yrs due to persistent migraines & tinnitus (turned out it was a neurovascular issue that later caused the stroke...).
Anyhoo, my point is, nobody, NOBODY gets an MRI "just because", so why did Trump get one?
The president had a MRI but won't say why.

He had bruises on his hands but wouldn't say why.

He just had an 'annual medical' even though he already had his annual medical.

He got shot in the ear but has never released the medical records relating to it.

How is any of this ok?

As someone who spent many months in my research career poring over topographical maps for planning fieldwork, coupled w/ reading books about the Canadian WWII liberation of the Netherlands dealing with flooding for both combat defense & offense across a vast flat landscape, ... things are afoot...

There was a coyote barking about 2 backyards over. I got my dog to bark back and it sounds like the coyote approached to the next door neighbour's yard. What I didnt expect was that for the next half hour my dog was all amped up, perched up on the furniture barking at the back windows.

My final act as I leave Kingston #QueensU Homecoming - buying a fresh baguette from Pan Chancho which I will consume on the drive home as my late lunch/early dinner - yes, I will eat the whole baguette myself, I have walked/cycled across France & Spain so I know it is a fulfilling meal.
