Actually seems to be more about napping so far.
So I'll be retiring on Friday, and people ask me what my plans are. I mainly say I don't know, the plan is to see what the plan is. But this is a strong possibility.
SF Opera really outdid themselves with The Monkey King. Standing room only crowd.

Like a lot of contemporary opera there was a strong emphasis on visual spectacle, and wow did they deliver that. But not at the expense of the music, which just got stronger and stronger all evening.

This looks a lot more promising than I feared. I've been in mourning for The Castro Theater for years, it would be wonderful to be wrong. L

Purple mashed potatoes for #Thankgiving? Why not with sesame paste from Japan, sesame oil with and without chili, a touch of honey if you want it a bit sweeter?

Someone on here recently coined the phrase "disliterate" for people who always come to the wrong conclusion after reading something and that's very apt for these people.

'people who are multilingual are half as likely to show signs of accelerated biological ageing than are those who speak just one language.'

Good thing that schools, universities and governments are so actively promoting modern languages then, isn't it? 1/2
Want a younger brain? Learn another language
A vast study suggests that being multilingual can slow down cognitive ageing.

My hypothesis is that an engineer on the Stargazer pranked him by making the replicator default to Earl Grey being iced by default, and he never got out of the habit of specifying "hot".

Exactly. I have contacted both CA senators to say clearly that I blame them all.
The model of holding individual senators responsible is broken here. The retirees clearly agreed to take the fall. Which is why the nos should get no credit for voting no unless they move to oust Schumer
