From the US to Europe, the center-right didn’t just lose to the populist right. It tried to compete by moving in that direction — and ended up strengthening its rival. Read more: bloom.bg/493f1ej

There's a great moment in Caligula where the Senate is applauding then Caligula starts braying like a sheep and they ALL, to a man, start braying too
You ever think about how the Roman Senate kept meeting centuries into the reigns of emperors. Hanging out, shooting the shit, giving speeches, and play-acting that their positions of privilege remained positions of power.

Two DLCs I consider absolute peak expansions to this day:

Minerva's Den for Bioshock 2
and Undead Nightmare from Red Dead Redemption.

Fallout 4's Far Harbor comes very, very close to those two.

Playing through a post-apocalyptic Lovecraftian nightmare certainly has its merits. #Fallout4

A striking illustration of why it is useful for authoritarian regimes to invest resources in manipulating discussions on X.

Through limited investments, as the platform can be easily manipulated, you can have a direct influence on key leaders'perceptions during critical events.

Morning. If you're waking up to a feed full of vague "wtf" it is because the US bombed Venezuela overnight and kidnapped its president

That's where to start if you're catching up. Good luck

The US has launched an unprovoked and illegal attack on Venezuela.

This is a brazen attempt to secure control over Venezuelan natural resources.

It is an act of war that puts the lives of millions of people at risk, and should be condemned by anyone who believes in sovereignty & international law.

Well,
You have to wonder if the strikes on the "drug boats" were just a way to test which generals would follow illegal orders wrt an undeclared war with Venezuela and weed out those who wouldn't.
