I think many people are facing (some are avoiding) a very essential choice:

What part of your life, your identity, your comforts are you prepared to lose?

We may not always have a choice but sometimes there is a choice of losing something either way.

A piece of your soul or your security.

Too many Democrats spent a good part of last year demonizing campus protesters, refusing to acknowledge Palestinians as humans, and painting people who want an end to Israel's genocidal actions as terrorists.

Trump is pouring on the gas, but Dems lit the match and threw in some logs.
The lawlessness, incompetence and brutality are accelerating as the Republic tips toward dictatorship.

Senate Democrats, under Schumer's leadership, are useless and essentially collaborators. Democratic governors need to get straight on what the plan is.

Horrifying. Disappearing and targeting students with legal status over peaceful political speech is unconstitutional and a clear violation of due process and free speech.

Another blatant act of authoritarianism by the Trump Administration.

Rumeysa must be released.

It's the biggest barrier to real solidarity with white people that so many of them are unable to recognize that fascism is very familiar to us as Black people, because they've been able to take America's promise of democracy for granted.
It’s important to understand that when a white person says “this has never happened before” or compares some oppressive behavior to a foreign regime, but it *did* happen here to Black/brown people for years/decades/centuries, it represents a massive blow to solidarity. It’s selfish.
