For so many of us, it's our daily habit & rhythm to plop ourselves down each evening for an hour (or 2? 5?) of TV, gaming, &/or social media. But Sabbath time is also part of the rhythm of a healthy life. It is indeed both a gift to us & a gift to the world.

1.50°C by 2026
2.00°C by 2036
2.50°C by 2045
2.85°C by 2050

Of course, a lot of non-linearities are possible before 2050. Like a net-zero, carbon-free, sustainable vegan utopia. Or the other ...

Heat pumps do the same thing that your stinky old furnace does, while making your home safer, quieter, more efficient, and more comfortable at the same time.

We bought into the "post scarcity" narrative because digital tech feels so magic and ethereal but we need to get back to an understanding of the material costs and effects of those systems. They are not very post-scarce in reality.
