This is killing me. Just in this year the Asda in Stepney, the Genesis cinema and now Zipcar are closing, making my live in Stepney hell. I don't know what the hell is wrong with this area, which becomes every year poorer AND more expensive.
Zipcar is shutting down its UK operations, basically the only car club that worked in London. Massive kick to anyone who tries to live in capital without owning a car. Having been a customer for 17 years and used Zipvans to move house repeatedly, this is.... very bad! (Zipcar is owned by Avis)

played a bit of the good old Wizardry 6 today. Spent like 50 dice rolls to create my characters. Then had to re enter the same trader shop like 20 times to find the items I need. That accounted for around 2 hours

Given that the money raised from this is going to amount to loose change in the government accounts, the only reason it is being proposed is to satisfy the cruellest instincts of the worst voters and media outlets. Gutter politics
Ministers now appear to be confirming in broadcast interviews that they would audit and could confiscate assets (including jewellery) excepting wedding rings from the jewellery that they could confiscate.

This is wonderful, and something I always thought of Star Trek/Wars/Tolkien/etc and rest of the video games: simplistic models are fantastic for narrowing your storytelling or creating gameplay, but some folks think that the real life is like those simplistic models
