These sacred tattoos were banned in Okinawa. A new generation is bringing them back.
Once worn by nearly every Ryukyuan woman, these intricate hand tattoos were outlawed for over a century.

This is "Camper", a good friend's doggo. Drawing a black or white animal is always challenging- they still have tons of color and light bouncing around in there.
I used the ipad app Realistic Paint Studio to draw this one. Highly recommend it for sketching and slower working.
