Here's a taste of the many photos I just posted over there

At first, I thought I could just rotate the hue of HSL colors and call it a day. Since then, I've learned about perceptual color spaces, OKLCH, Bezold-Brücke effect and I still can't always get good programmatic palettes 😅

I think some of y'all might appreciate the aesthetics this new CSS property unlocks, so I whipped up a super quick visual guide.
Graphic showing each of the available corner-shape CSS values, the CSS code needed to create them, and the visual effect it has on a button. From top to button, the button has: square corners, rounded corners, ‘squircle’ corners (the button is effectively an ellipse with flattened sides), bevelled corners, notched corners (square cutouts on each corner), ‘scooped’ corners (rounded cutouts on each side), and a manual ‘superellipse’ function example that creates a more subtle scooped effect.

The PS2 truly is the best console ever because it is constantly becoming more powerful. Each time we say something "looks like a PS2 game" we're talking about a game of a higher fidelity than the last. What the PS2 is capable of in 2025 is so far beyond what it was capable of in 2003. That's amazing

Listen to me. Listen. If you're making images that will only be displayed on screens, YOU HAVE TO LET GO. You can calibrate your screens perfectly, but then 25k people will see it on their shitty $50 monitors or cracked phone and its out of your hands. Don't think of it. Achieve enlightenment.
