As much as I love seeing this shit show, and mocking it vocally, I would like to point out that SOME of what people are mocking, is, in fact, "the" AI work flow, not just idiots being idiots. Why make this distinction? Mostly so people can be aware of what AI can do and thus better respond to it. 🧵

Everybody should just pirate everything. Download all the ROMs you can, play old games that Nintendo wants to charge you $60 for the privilege of playing again, anybody who has a problem with this has incurable cop-brain and you shouldn't listen to anything they say
tbh as much as official rereleases are good for accessibility, I also feel like a lot of people just won't play games if they don't have official versions and that's not great for culture. Everyone should be downloading random ROMs until they find that special one that breaks their brain wide open.

I saw an artwork on tumblr that really triggered all my genAI-detection senses, but the caption said "oil on canvas" so I went to investigate. I found the artist's website that has works from as far as 2009 (legit, checked the wayback machine) and *they all look like that*. Incredible stuff.

Just a reminder, that possibly the oldest piece of palaeoart dates to the Neolithic. The petroglyphs of horned characters with trumpets, recorded on the same rock as a ornithischian footprints (Zagaje Formation) in Poland, might be an early reconstruction of the Jurassic tracemaker.
