I will never use spicy auto-correct in my writing, because if I can't be arsed to write it myself, how can I ask you to read it? All the fuck-ups and typos are my own, and always will be.

Srsly. Signal-boost, like/comment. And a big part of that support?

If they made something you like, buy it.

Independent artists aren't Wal-Mart; you can't just come back next week and expect what you were looking at to still be available for sale.
Support the artists you like now because tomorrow you might not be able to find them.

Police officers who publicly declare that they’ll quit if a mayoral candidate they dislike wins the election are (1) usually bluffing—sure buddy, toss away that paycheck and pension—and (2) exactly the sort of cops cities would be better off without, ones who don’t see themselves as public servants.

I think for me the most compelling answer for "why fund basic research?" (and the one most relevant to the people doing the work) is that humans are curious and finding stuff out makes us happy and fulfilled. Science is a thing humans like. Life would be more dull and sad if we didn't do it.

The "AI" responses that Google gives about me and my work are consistently error-prone, which I know because I am me. If I know Google's "AI" responses give incorrect answers about things I know about, I can't trust it to give correct answers about things I don't know. So, no, I don't use it.
I’m surprised you don’t use ai answer engines in research you currently do with Google

Walmart nostalgia is Blockbuster nostalgia, to me. The things you liked about it were pale imitations of concepts they stole from the places they ran out of business. You don't like Walmart, you like the shadows of the things they destroyed

“Yes, fucking of course they should have that right. What are you stupid? You think we should just discriminate against a vulnerable minority?”

Stop acting like your beliefs are embarrassing or wrong!
