Your daily reminder that Trump absolutely can fund SNAP through contingency funds.

He absolutely can prevent 42 million Americans — including 20 million children — from going hungry next month.

He is choosing not to. Don’t let him lie his way out of this.

I’m so excited about the election of Bishop Curry but also everything in me is warning me not to hope, because this machine just crushes so many people and is so deeply resistant to change.
And I hate that I am afraid to place hope in my church body.

Just a reminder we still have exactly as much racism to confront in the church as we did before. Bishop Curry is not our ticket out

To eat. We go out to eat.
tbf I get self-conscious about this in that my partner and I have been together for over a decade and work from home together as well, and we go out to eat frequently, and sometimes we just do not have anything to say to each other beyond grunts and muffled yips
I went to a Chinese dim sum place with a friend recently--twice, with the same friend--and each time we saw at least three couples around us doing exactly this.
Just scrolling mindlessly.
Listen, I do it, too, ngl, but why bother going to a restaurant with someone and doing this?

The president of the United States is threatening to strip the citizenship away from an American who says things he does not like.

And our media will invariably present this not as a major crisis, an impeachable offense that must lead to his immediate removal, but as “a spat” between Don & Rosie

Alligator Alcatraz.

FL lawmakers are finally being let in—after Dems got turned away last week.

Here’s the catch: the tour’s not ‘til Saturday

They know the conditions are inhumane. Scrub the cages, hide the worst of it, and pray no one asks too many questions.

Don’t let them sanitize the truth!
