Cockpits, dashboards, crew stations - if it's in a vehicle and you sit in it, it belongs here! Run by @wildweasel486.bsky.social . I try to include full context in alt texts. This account is maintained 100% manually and is not on a schedule.

📖 Bytes of Game Ads 📺

What a cool 3D-effect double page ad for ASCII's Cosmo Genesis (Star Voyager), a pretty nifty space shooter of the kind I'm fond of, where you hop around a grid similar to Star Master or Solaris.

This one took quite a lot of work. Doing anything from Pacific Theater is super difficult since most of these planes crashed into the ocean. So having any refs is very difficult

Some Cassette Futurism for your Monday feeds?

This amazing thing is the Ford Tripmonitor, a 1983 GPS mapper that used the Transit Satellite network and a magnetic compass and could play micro-cassettes.

CRT screenies of an unreleased Battletech game for Mega/Sega-CD that I just had a tinker around with: Gray Death Legion.

Due to be released in 1995 and developed by Absolute Entertainment, this would have been a first-person arcade sim similar to the Super Nintendo BT/Mechwarrior game.

Hi! I'm making Alliance Peacefighter, a story-driven space sim with a light tone. Think Wing Commander by way of Starfox.

Alliance Peacefighter, a linear, story-driven space sim in the style of 90s classics like X-Wing and Wing Commander.

A complete loop of the non-playable demo of BlueMoon Software's "Stellar Xpress" (1994, MS-DOS). Originally intended as a VR sequel to SkyRoads, it was sold to a VR company as a demo program.

This really warrants further comparisons to its two predecessors: BlueMoon Software's Kosmonaut (1990) and SkyRoads (1993), which despite being third-person, still have visible cockpits.
