The call was put out for chaotic Thanksgiving stories, and (thankfully) nothing that's happened to me yet has ever managed to top this.
Not my story, but I don't think this acquaintance is on Bluesky, so...one year, she and her family went out to a remote cabin in the wood for Thanksgiving, in an area with wild turkeys. At some point, her dad decided he wanted a real pioneer Thanksgiving.

You can probably guess where this is going.

I know it's a bad idea to anthropomorphize stellar objects, but I kinda love the idea of our introverted Sun retreating to a quiet corner where no one will bug it.
