NOTICE OF COURT ORDER You are hereby advised that a temporary restraining order has been entered in the case of New York et al. v. Trump, No. 25-cv-39-JJM-PAS (D.R.I.), ECF No. 50 (Jan. 31, 2025). You are receiving this Notice pursuant to the Court's directive that notice of the order be provided "to all Defendants and agencies and their employees, contractors, and grantees by Monday, February 3, 2025, at 9 a.m." A copy of the Court's Order is attached for reference. This case challenges an alleged "pause" of certain Federal financial assistance, related to OMB Memorandum M-25-13, Temporary Pause of Agency Grant, Loan, and Other Financial Assistance Programs (Jan. 27, 2025) ("OMB Memo*). Although that OMB Memo was rescinded on January 29, 2025, the plaintiffs in the above-referenced case allege that the funding pause directed by the OMB Memo is still in effect, including because of recently issued Executive Orders by the President. 1. Federal agencies cannot pause, freeze, impede, block, cancel, or terminate any awards or obligations on the basis of the OMB Memo, or on the basis of the President's recently issued Executive Orders.

We are writing today to ask for your support for five people who need our support to get abortion care they need and deserve as we have run very low on funds on our Help Line. Lan* is a minor who is sadly pregnant as the result of an assault. To make matters worse, she is forced to travel to get abortion care as she is past the PA state gestational limit. After help from abortion funds in neighboring states, she still needs $2000. Chloe* is 16 years old and discovered she was pregnant later than the average person. With little time to spare, she needs $1,000 to get the care she needs. Riley* is 17 years old and like Lan, was surprised to realize she had to travel out of PA in order to get abortion care due to our state gestational limit. After help from abortion funds in neighboring states, she needs $2000. Maris* is 21 years old and is between jobs, with no financial support or savings to to pull from. After trying to come up with funds for some times, the price for getting an abortion has increased and Maris has been “chasing the fee” as we say. With $150 saved up towards the cost of her care, she still needs $500. Natasha* is in their late 20s and sadly pregnant as the result of an assault. While she expected her insurance to cover the cost of an abortion especially given the circumstances, she has a high deductible making the cost insurmountable for her as she struggles to make ends meet. She needs $550. *names have been changed to protect privacy For ALF-PA to help with the $6,050 these folks need, we would have to turn away more than 25 other callers of our Help Line with more typical needs. We are turning to you today to ask for your support. Can you help them safely access the care they need?

When I see Dems do the usual “we need to go centrist” I am reminded of Truman nailing those idiots to the wall in the fucking 1950s.
Except from Truman’s Address at the National Convention Banquet of the Americans for Democratic Action: The first rule in my book is that we have to stick by the liberal principles of the Democratic Party. We are not going to get anywhere by trimming or appeasing. And we don't need to try it. The record the Democratic Party has made in the last 20 years is the greatest political asset any party ever had in the history of the world. We would be foolish to throw it away. There is nothing our enemies would like better and nothing that would do more to help them win an election. I've seen it happen time after time. When the Democratic candidate allows himself to be put on the defensive and starts apologizing for the New Deal and the fair Deal, and says he really doesn't believe in them, he is sure to lose. The people don't want a phony Democrat. If it's a choice between a genuine Republican, and a Republican in Democratic clothing, the people will choose the genuine article, every time; that is, they will take a Republican before they will a phony Democrat, and I don't want any phony Democratic candidates in this campaign. But when a Democratic candidate goes out and explains what the New Deal and fair Deal really are--when he stands up like a man and puts the issues before the people--then Democrats can win, even in places where they have never won before. It has been proven time and again.
