there’s no other explanation here that makes any sense at all, they were sitting in the water for over 40 minutes on a capsized boat that got split in half by a hellfire, with 9 of the 11 crew dead. bradley killed those last two because he felt like it and because he could.

Double-tap is very misleading here, it implies strikes in quick succession. They scratched their loathsome chins about it for 41 minutes, watching these two guys struggle to overturn their wrecked boat, before deciding nah, hit 'em again

The first school to market itself as AI free is going to corner the market on people interested in actually learning. And I would not be surprised if rich families and the children of people creating this tech were the first movers.
My employer, Dartmouth College, today boasts it's 1st Ivy "to launch AI at an institutional scale." It is doing this by partnering--"more than a collaboration"--with Anthropic, a company that stole the books of many faculty, me included, which many of us are suing.

They made a mistake from the beginning, not just morally but tactically, in gleefully releasing all their boat murder snuff films and blasting them out wall-to-wall so everyone sees them a million times. Can hardly plead now 'no, this one would be too gruesome, we don't release that kind of stuff.'
NEWS --> Tons of fresh detail on what video of the strike shows: Rep Adam Smith says two men are sitting on capsized boat, drugs aren't visible. Rationale officials gave for killing is they *may* have been able to keep trafficking.

"It's bad," Smith says.

You know when you (or at least army infantry) get taught to clear the X, the usual rule is that as soon as you walk past a wounded or surrending enemy they are now in your care and harming/killing them is a war crime.

Sitting around for 41 minutes debating what to do is like something from satire.
I mean, this is an execution

If the US Coast Guard stops a ship in international waters and seizes their cocaine, is that a war crime? The ship has not done anything illegal. Should we prosecute the Coast Guard Captain for piracy?

It’s not that Democrats aren’t “anti-war,” because of course we hate war, it’s just that we believe in self defense & don’t believe in appeasement for the sake of peace at any cost.

Unbelievable.

“There was no boat. There was wreckage. There was no radio. There were two guys clinging to a tiny non-awash portion of the keel of a capsized boat,” said one lawmaker

Any authority with the least interest in restoring confidence in both civil & military judgment would be fully within their rights to assume this was a deliberate effort to hide any evidence that might contradict the narrative

What’s galling is the second strike entirely hinged on a hypothetical, nothing that the two guys were actually doing, and we still have zero evidence they were trafficking cocaine

Gavin Newsom spent the early months of Trump 2 having friendly chats with far-right extremists. He praised Steve Bannon shortly after he gave a literal Nazi salute.

Google "Newsom vetoes" for a long list of things he has fucked up for California. He's a snake and you shouldn't trust him.
You may have gripes...nobody is perfect, but Newsom has been a great governor. He's an excellent administrator, and if you want to join the circular firing squad which has destroyed progressive politics, be it on you.

ALSO the idea that doing a partisan gerrymandering is an affirmatively valid end to pursue just has no support in the cases, that's not what Rucho or Vieth say!!

Democrats can retaliate against these GOP gerrymanders with new maps in Illinois, Maryland, Oregon, & Virginia.

They could flip 7 GOP seats to make up for this & new GOP maps in Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, & possibly soon Indiana.

Imposing costs is the only way to deter the GOP from doing this
