Reddish egret seen from behind, floofed maximally, facing right. This bird has a light gray back, long light green legs disappearing into lightly rippled water, a reddish neck that grows more red toward the head, a nice red-orange crown, a long dark daggerlike beak, and a bright yellow eye. His feathers are standing on end from his tail to his crown, making him look like he just got out of the shower.

Winter raptors like Snowy Owls and Rough-legged Hawks travel thousands of kms to winter in these areas - mainly because of the mice and voles. Unlike the raptors that get loads of clicks and likes - the undervalued rodents get next to no love at all!

This 737 came into service in 1979 with PWA in Edmonton. It was retired from Air Canada’s service in 2005. The aircraft became part of an exhibit at the Alberta Aviation Museum. In 2013, the aircraft was flown to Villeneuve where it now sits. #abandoned #Alberta #yeg #history #plane #airplane
