Yet another plea to people who are using or following people off follow-farming hashtags like #NoDemUnder1K, #NoDemUnder5K, #BlueCrew, #FBR, etc etc: please do not do that, it's how disinformation operations work. I'm already seeing accounts in those hashtags that are likely disinformation ops. 1/

I really hope everyone understands what is going on with Elon and Wikipedia.

Wikipedia is one of our last remaining bastions of evidence-based consensus reality.

The MAGA narrative is fundamentally threatened by evidence-based fact, and Wikipedia is a repository of evidence-based fact.
This is ABSOLUTELY factual! Musk’s gesture WAS compared to a Nazi salute or a fascist salute. Musk DID deny any meaning behind the gesture. Musk’s argument appears to be with reality.

it’s both profoundly insulting to autistic people and also obviously not true

Not everyone can fight Trumpism and Trumpists directly. But remember this: kindness, decency, and fidelity to American values are defiance in the face of Trumpism.

So be kind, decent, and faithful, particularly to the many kinds of people despised and attacked by Trumpists. That’s revolutionary./1

All empires fall. It's their nature. Empire is the governmental equivalent of paying your rent with a credit card. Eventually, that debt comes due.

What comes after generally isn't even bad. Just, the transition from unaffordable luxury to living within your means feels like a shock.

THREAD. It's important for all people of good will to understand the Laken Riley Act before the Senate votes on it tomorrow. It’s unconstitutional. It’s horrific in every word and clause. But there is a deeper, more imminent violence lurking beneath its hate-filled text.

it's the GOP's first step to making it a crime to exist as a trans person in public. that's not an exaggeration—they brag about it on the news.
