Across the country, Starbucks workers are on an Unfair Labor Practice strike for a fair first contract, and I know which side I’m on. Baristas make Starbucks an extraordinarily wealthy company. They are entitled to their fair share of that wealth and to benefits and fair treatment on the job.

I always see TikTok skits that are like “POV: you go to a local coffee shop” and the barista is super rude/snobby, say the prices are outrageous, and all the comments are like “YES!” And add how it tastes terrible, but I’ve genuinely never had that experience? Feels like Starbucks propaganda

Reminder to everyone donating to food banks in light of the Republicans starving SNAP: It is far more cost effective to donate directly to food banks than to buy food and give it to them. They can buy in bulk and have existing relationships with sellers, so your few bucks go way further that way

i think the bakery should offer a flight option on the menu. just a few sample size baked treats for like twenty bucks you know. sometimes i get so anxious knowing i only get one shot at this treat and might choose badly

Food trucks should actually just be like smaller portions of dishes for like $5-$8. I’m talking like sliders, little salmon on rice. They are usually next to other food trucks and then I could try multiple instead of spending like $20 on one

Watched The Godfather for the first time in theaters a month ago, and I think it’s time to watch Part II. I’ve put these movies off for so long because I knew how highly regarded they were and figured I wouldn’t appreciate them enough as a younger person.

One of the lamest parts of the de minimis exemption being taken away is that a lot of the coffee roasters I get are from other countries. Not many US roasters are doing it quite like coffee collective, manhattan, DAK ect. Even September is from Canada.
