Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Imagine having a Mayor who knows how to work with the City Council, the Hennepin County Commissioners, and the Legislature.

Omar Fateh will be a collaborative and compassionate Mayor who builds an affordable city, that's accountable to us.

I'm so grateful for the support of organizers like Jesse. They know what's at stake for our immigrant and LGBTQIA+ students right now, and they're ready for a Mayor who can meet the moment. Learn why Jesse ranked me as their 1st choice this November to bring change to our city!

SNAP is not the reason your taxes are high.

SNAP recipients don’t need to “just go get a job”.

Most of them work. The rest are disabled, elderly, children or caregivers.

People need & deserve assistance

Your taxes fund wars and tax cuts for the ultra rich

Be mad about that

Voters, make your plan for the voting option that works best for you. You can vote early in person or by mail, or you can vote at your polling place on Election Day, Nov. 4.

🎉Come celebrate Jason’s birthday with us & help fuel the last push of the campaign—he’s getting out the vote in a historically low turnout ward, which will have a huge impact on the mayoral race.

ALSO, Arbeiter is a dropoff site for @supplydepotmpls.bsky.social, so bring something warm to donate!

My diagnosis, offered in this thread, is that

1. MSP cut up the city with freeways and stroads to an extreme degree

2. The neighborhoods that are nice to walk IN have nothing to walk TO, and the places with commercial density (incl small local shops) are horrible to walk in—stroads without trees
…it is really shocking how there is almost no culture of walking to things here compared to a lot of MSP’s peer cities. Whether people here drive, bike, or take transit, almost everyone seems to consider it a major inconvenience to have to walk more than two blocks on either end.

This bit of the presentation had a *whoa* moment for me. Apparently challenges included a "quote" from the DFL rules that just plain wasn't there (in fact, the contrary was). Did they use ChatGPT or the like to hallucinate this quote?

minneapolis took open streets away from our streets and will now be doing one less because of the city budget. but we are supposed to believe this wasn’t retaliatory for our streets’ work and planned from the start

I’ve seen a lot of false information circulating in the weeks following the Minneapolis DFL convention. Some of it feels like reading Jan 6 voter conspiracy theories, so as the person who stepped in as head teller + audited the voting system, I’d like to set the record straight🧵
