it is darkly funny that "trillion dollar computer oracle that will never work" is good and inevitable technology and "inexpensive hormonal treatments which completely transform the human body" is bad technology to be banished like witchcraft

If someone is questioning, I really think they should take hormones for a month and see how they feel, it doesnt do "damage", you can't control society but you can find some inner peace if its for you and that goes a long way.
here's a blistering hot take: as much as we joke about "detransitioning from a haircut," cutting your hair short is a significantly more irreversible (in the short term) process than taking hormones for a month. You're not getting the hair back without time, but stopping a short HRT regimen? Easy.
