Absolutely stunning.
FRANKENSTEIN is on NETFLIX but- still in many theatres- please consult your local listings and choose your watch/rewatch preference!
Where do I even begin? Guillermo del Toro @realgdt.bsky.social has created an absolute masterpiece. I only wish I’d had the chance to experience it on the big screen. The story of Frankenstein has been told countless times, but never like this.

I knowwwww there’s not much of the sports here, I know. BUT. It’s #NHLGoalieWeek this week and I know there have to be some hockey fans around.

The maddening thing is that we know EXACTLY how to prevent this. Yes, kids should get vaccinated, test, stay home when sick, mask as much as possible.

But even without any of that: Better ventilation and filtration in schools can MASSIVELY reduce viral spread, for all sorts of respiratory diseases.

This is one of the ways that white supremacy weaponizes civility: by implying that certain people get to be served, and other kinds of people (you know what kinds) need to be grateful, without interrogating it.

Fox News won't ask this, of course, but the next question for anyone else should be, "Ok, then I assume you support government-funded mental health programs with easy access for Americans all across the country to end this scourge of violence?"

Thread: LLMs👏 ARE 👏 NOT 👏 SEARCH 👏 ENGINES 👏 AND 👏 THEY 👏 ARE 👏 NOT 👏 BUILT 👏 FOR 👏 THAT 👏 TASK 👏
My video about how LLMs are not search engines has led to many, MANY comments telling me that I should be using Perplexity. Some insisting that Perplexity does not hallucinate.

Out of a list of 26 papers it just provided me (in "Research" mode) 4 were real. FOUR. 85% hallucination rate.

It’s outrageous that Sec. Kennedy is trying to fire the CDC Director — after only a few weeks on the job — for her commitment to public health & vaccines.

The Sen. HELP Committee must hold a hearing with Kennedy & the CDC Director as soon as possible.

Vaccines save lives. Period.

Unfortunately, this isn’t surprising since this stems from those who also want to repeal many of the safeguards put in place after Parkland.
Overnight, the Florida Department of Transportation painted over the Pulse Memorial rainbow crosswalk after they threatened cities to remove “political messages” from roadways.

Help us send a loud and clear message: WE AREN’T GOING ANYWHERE. hrc.im/crosswalk

Okay right I am in a cafe feeding both of us so let’s talk about this. It’s one of those things where it almost seems reasonable, at first: why *shouldn’t* breastfeeding be discreet? Let’s unpack that because it’s not actually reasonable.
