Thank you @cnn.com for featuring Minnesota Aurora FC’s journey to going pro. We’re honored to have our story told by Julia Andersen and grateful for all the community support that brought us here in the first place.

This is only the beginning. #BrighterTogether

Today is Giving Tuesday. We have chosen to make our contribution to Lifeline Animal Project here in Atlanta, which does have a matching program for donations today.

It is our animal charity of choice where a portion of the proceeds from our version of Cat and Woof Days benefit them here in the US.

It's about to be me, once I go grocery shopping.
Toad went back into the house. He got into bed and pulled the covers over his head again.

I see people saying

“I would use alt text but I keep forgetting!”

Thankfully, @bsky.app has a setting for that.

- Go to Settings
- Then Accessibility
- Toggle “Require alt text before posting” to the active setting.

Now Bluesky will remind you to add alt text to all of your posts.

Why are you not using ALT text when posting images?

It’s a genuine question - visually-impaired folks rely on screen readers to announce alt text so they can understand an image's meaning and function, and you’re actively excluding them without providing it.

Perkins has a great guide to ALT text:

This week I learned Minnesota brings a turkey to the governor's mansion just to let it know it's gonna get eaten. Incredible state. I have many notes for it.

In other news, the wild turkeys of the Twin Cities are an armed militia

Holiday reminder!
Do not shame/scold your young relatives Thursday if they do not show you affection.
You do not have the right to hugs or kisses.
Teach consent early by showing them you value theirs.
I like to say “Good to see you! Do you want to gimme a hug? or a high 5?” If they say no, cool.

Did you attend the Indie Night Market and want to talk to us about how it went (and report on PAXU more broadly)? HMU
We've been chatting about Indie Markets regularly lately and sad to be missing the one at this year's PAXU. We'd love to hear a report from the floor if anyone attending would like to join us.
Threw together a quick poster / flyer for the event this Saturday. Come check out some cool indie games!
