Not very unhinged, but: Stop reading a book if you're bouncing off of it. Stop "powering through." You're just wasting your time. You don't get a gold star for finishing books you're not enjoying reading.

Even if you don't have local library service, or your local library doesn't have what you want, paying out of pocket for a non-resident card from a nearby library is still going to be cheaper than almost any streaming service. And many offer discounts to seniors, veterans, or people who get benefits
Library cards are cheaper than an Amazon unlimited subscription
And they have better ebooks available anyways

Mt Rainier National Park's Paradise area is without water after a storm and the termination of the park's only plumber as part of the DOGE layoffs. Guests at the Paradise Inn are apparently being given gallon jugs of water to flush their toilets.

When I was a baby, in 1983, ended up only being able to drink goat's milk. Soy parents got a milk goat, named her Katie and she lived in our backyard im the middle of a medium-sized city. My mom boiled the milk.

That's... usually not the case!
In families w their own cow, the mom usually boiled it before using.
We just forgot bc that's a boring chore that mom did. And who pays attention to that?
